A Study of the Little Blue Heron

When I stepped outside on this beautiful Thanksgiving morning, I noticed a Little Blue Heron (Egretta caerulea) at the pond.  I took a few photos and then went and got some coffee.  As I enjoyed my coffee, the heron continued meandering about the pond, hunting for a meal.  I continued taking photos until I started getting a low battery warning on my camera.  The lavender flowers are from the water hyacinth.

In the photo below, I think the heron is swallowing, or has just swallowed a fish that he caught.
