Bambusa membranacea (formerly known as Dendrocalamus membranacea)

This bamboo is a moderately open clumper, with a slightly arching growth form.  It is fast growing bamboo, with fairly small leaves for its size.  It is generally used as a stand alone ornamental in a large garden.
